PU Encapsulated Glass
Glass with a moulded polyurethane frame, delivered as a ready-to-install module.
Glass and frame in one part
In PU encapsulation, a polyurethane (PU) profile is moulded directly around the edge of the glass. Seals, locating pins and brackets can be built into this frame, so the window arrives at the assembly line as a single, ready-to-fit module.
For vehicle manufacturers this means fewer separate parts, faster fitting and a neat, flush finish.
